Death: The High Cost of Living
« on: December 04, 2012, 12:42:20 PM »
A Neil Gaiman classic, which is a spin-off from the Sandman series. I like this mini-series as it shows Death as a cute Goth girl (in the form of Didi in the mini series). Death takes the form of a human for a day every hundred years to see how life is from those who, eventually, she will take. It makes Death more human, and less scary, in a way, though it still does not change the fact that when it comes, Death can still be scary.

I still need to read Sandman. I've had so many people recommend it to me, but I have such a long 'to read list'.

Let go your earthly tether. Enter the void. Empty and become wind.

This is the one Sandman book I HAVEN'T read. I need to get on that.

I actually collect Sandman books and memorabilia and have been meaning to get this for a long while now. Keep missing it at the comic shops, though.
(I try and buy local most of the time.)
