How Frankincense Could Reshape Africa

From BBC.com.  Interesting article about a drought-resistant species of the frankincense tree in Ethiopia, where in the area where the tree grows, "about 30% of household income is attributed to frankincense".  If more widely planted, it could "help stimulate the local economy, increase frankincense production and improve the lives of local people who depend on the forest for their livelihoods"--possibly even increase rainfall in that part of Africa.

This is an interesting article, Wulf! I wasn't aware that frankincense constituted such a large percentage of the economy there.

It sure looks it, Sky, and thanks!  :D  Certainly a different and very logical form of farming.
