From BBC.com.  The story is about William Badoury from Quebec, Canada, whose research on Mayan constellations revealed a city on the Mexico/Belize border that no one else had discovered yet--including an 86 meter/282 foot high pyramid.  He found that Mayan constellations corresponded to where they located their cities, the cities matching the pattern of the stars.  One star was missing from a particular chart, and so...

And then again, it might be just a cornfield.  :D  Someone needs to go there to actually see--which hasn't occurred yet.  It'll be interesting to see what happens.

That's my fault; the tenor of the first article made me think that someone had actually been there or seen something to confirm what Badoury was proposing, and that still needs to be done.  Here's hoping, though.

Yeah, but I would say it's the journalists fault (in this case BBCs) to confirm the validity of their news. And it looks pretty strange when they say this kid found out that the Maya built the cities based on star constellations while this seems to be absolutely wrong.
