Uninformed voters
« on: November 02, 2015, 02:49:02 AM »
I posted this on FB, but we can discuss it here too. One of the most terrifying things about the good old USA is that the majority of its citizens can name dozens, maybe even hundreds of even the most second-rate celebrities and get on your ass for not knowing about them, but they do not know what the Speaker of the House is, let alone who it is. I doubt a majority can even name their own Representatives and Senators.

I think it's even worse when you get to local level, unfortunately.  People might know their governor or secretary of state for their state, but their state senator or representative?  Good luck.
