Parlor Tricks by Lyralocke. Never mind best fanfic, it's probably the best piece of writing I've ever read.

I was literally just about to say.

I still remember it all these years later. What a tragic loss of an incredible talent.

Indeed. Sometimes I just reread her work and wonder...

I think I need to go and find that fic.  I've heard lots of good things about it and its author, but I haven't read it.

I have never heard about it, but since it's in the 1920's I gotta check it out. Shame that the person who wrote it died, is the fic completed or unfinished?

Unfinished, sadly. It got pretty far along, too. Her sister said she had an outline, but she didn't think it would be right to try and finish it.

Don't know if it's the "best", but one story I really enjoyed was about Kuvira. It was about her life from childhood and on. I like how it lead up to everything that happen in the show but still gave plenty of insight of what we didn't see. Well written and a unique p.o.v.

That's a shame. I can't blame her sis for trying to finish it, but she could've posted the outline maybe at least.

I've only been reading one, and it's the only Avatar/Korra fanfic I've ever tried to read. The Tale of Tashi and Nima by our own Seluna and Terrik_Zion. Well written and illustrated. ;D

I don't think it would be considered a fanfic though, those tend to be just written stories. Tashi and Nami would be considered a fan comic. Still, it is great. I agree there.
