-shrugs- I honestly can't answer this since I don't really have a favorite genre. I usually just say rock in general.

Extraordinarily awesome sig by Zevinja!!

Never heard of them. I would've probably gone for something either classic or U2.

You've never heard Eric Clapton? o-o Derek and the Dominos (led by Eric Clapton; the only three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame) is about as classic as it gets.

Now, this isn't my favorite genre, but if I were to introduce 80s Rock to someone who has never heard it before, I'd show them this:

And this isn't even an 80s song, it was released in the 90s haha. xD

  • I tried to pay attention, but attention paid me.
Tough call between rap, trance, and heavy metal, but I'll go with the rap classic:

Good choice! There are a lot of great examples for hip-hop, but I think I'd play the song that got me interested in the genre:

I've heard of Eric Clapton, but not Derek and the Dominos.

I choose genres like John Mayer or Norah Jones. Per it's something soft rock and jazzy at the same time.
