Indie Christmas Music
« on: December 20, 2012, 03:03:25 AM »
Classic Christmas music helps get you in the holiday spirit, but if you're like me, you only can spend so much time listening to the same songs on the radio. This year, I've turned to indie Christmas music to get my holiday tunes fix in a new way. Does anyone else do this? Any suggestions for new Christmas songs? I highly recommend the She & Him Christmas album.

ATLA Keeper of: On Ji's bangs, Ty Lee's love of pink, Ty Lee's aura, Ty Lee's flirting skills, and Ty Lee's eyes
LoK Keeper of: Pabu, Ikki's Spazziness, Lin's Badassness, Korra's rage face, all of the jazzy tunes

I like this song! It may be a little suggestive at one point, but it's cute! ; V ;

Also this may or may not be considered Indie? XD

That Flaming Lips song I posted in the other thread.

Also apparently Sufjan Stevens records quite a bit of Christmas music although I have yet to hear any of it.

And The Killers too, though I'm not a huge fan or anything.

Get on that. I recently downloaded a little Sufjan holiday goodness to my ipod to play at work ... That man's voice is magic.
I enjoy the lyrics to this one. XD

The Killers did a holiday album? Huh. I actually do quite like them, but I think it might be more of a nostalgia thing than the actual music itself. It just takes me back to high school and memories of attending their concert with some really good friends of mine. <3

I'd like to add a vote for Sufjan's Christmas music.
