nah I'm not mad about the star destroyer, smaller, faster ships have always been a thing. So them being able to stay effectively out of range just made sense. And the Snoke thing was a total "gotcha" to the fan boys who were like "Oh this is totally some all important guy! He's going to be so crucial, and once we're done with Kylo he'll be The Real Threat(tm)." Because that's totally what we've come to expect from Star Wars, instead they just side stepped the Trope and made him nothing. It was great.

it reminds me of the story of Andor Vex: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Andor_Vex

I liked it, especially the parts with Luke (not to mention the after-the-barrage-dusts-the-rubble-off-the-shoulders bit), but there are some things that make me wish they'd thought through the script a bit more.  For starters: so you're in a Star Destroyer, a faster-than-light starship, far more massive than your opponents, and somehow your targets are "out of range" despite the fact that they're still in visual range?  Um...  :)

And unfortunately, frankly, Snoke was a disappointment.  They got you monologuing (cue The Incredibles), and somehow you weren't watching which way that lightsaber was pointed?  Oh, boy.

This is probably my favorite Star Wars movie of all time. It was so good.

No kidding.  :D

Years ago, in the Star Trek novel My Enemy, My Ally, Dr. McCoy remarked about a tech problem, "I think you've got a problem there--a malfunction that shouts."  Today's page looks a lot like that.

And re today: oh gosh.  :D  That's wonderful.

I would find it deeply amusing if Kat is only good at supernatural electronics and not normal ones.

No real resolutions beyond getting back on the wagon when I fall off, but there is a Swedish proverb I'm going to try to keep more in mind:
"Fear less, hope more; eat less, chew more; whine less, breathe more; talk less, say more, love more, and all good things will be yours."

No resolutions, I just hope this year will be better than last and that Trump won't send my brother to some craphole in the Middle East.
