What is the first thing you notice about a man or woman?
« on: April 30, 2014, 02:13:56 PM »
If I don't know the woman, I'd definitely say her smile is the first thing I'd notice. Then her eyes and hair. If I do know her, I think I'd notice her sense of humor first.

Smile (or lack thereof) is pretty big for the first sight.  Posture/body language is another one, whether or not it exudes confidence.  Beyond that one of the most telling and important things I notice is how they treat strangers.  By that I mean people they aren't trying to win over.  The most telling ones would be service employees.  It comes from a quote from Dave Berry, actually.  "If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person".  It really can say a lot about a person before you even get to know them, and I take notice of stuff like that especially.

Hair or lack thereof is like 80% of a person's appearance to me.

Face/hair combo.

I had a date that was a complete jerk to the waiter once. There was no second date.

I'd say for me hair, expression, posture, fashion.  Those are the things that I notice immediately at first glance.

That's my girl!

Oh yes, fashion is another one!  Smelling good gets lots of points too.  A clean or fresh but subtle scent is very noticeable and shows that they take care of themselves.  Overdone cologne on the other hand...that's just cheap and lazy.

Oh, I hate cheap colognes. They're so smelly they're distracting.

I still think back to this story sometimes and have a laugh. Honestly one of my favourite things I've read online

I honestly tend to notice how someone dresses and how they treat others first. Almost immediately after is their sense of humor. I tend to love nice people with a really morbid/dark sense of humor.

I say personality when it comes to talking to him in the long run but usually when he acts nice to me.
