What IS 'The Souvenir Stand'?
« on: November 15, 2012, 07:10:58 PM »
Welcome to The Souvenir Stand - an exclusive section of the Pro-Bending Arena where TKC members can post requests for fics, fan art, or fan media of any genre. We're not limited to ATLA and ALoK in this section!

Members can also set up shops for their graphics and take requests from the rest of the forum accordingly. As mentioned above, we're not limited to any genre or any particular fandom.

How is this different from the 'Help and Advice' and 'Classifieds' boards?

The Help and Advice boards are for more personal discussions and interactions as mentioned in the concerned board's guidelines.

The Classifieds section is more of a generic board to get help with issues like 'How do I fix an issue with my Computer?' or something that isn't too personal an issue for you to talk about.

A telling factor is if it's related to the arts in any way or if it's something you want made from scratch instead of getting help with something you already have. If you need a fic written, or a graphic made, then it goes right here in The Souvenir Stand. If you need someone to help you edit a fic that you've written, that'd go in the Classifieds section.

Now that we're clear on that, let's take a look at a few guidelines for this board.

1. You don't need a Mod's permission to put up a request or open a graphics shop
For those requesting fics and fan art, you can post a request here at any time you want. You don't need to ask the mods for permission. HOWEVER, graphics shops set up by members have their own set of rules that have been defined by the maker. Follow the maker's rules if you want to request from them.

2. Respect the person you're requesting from.
These people are taking time out to make something for you. So respect them and their need for time to complete your request. After all, they want it to meet your expectations! In case of graphics like icons and signatures, or an entire set, make sure you use it for a while before moving on. Also, be polite if you want any changes made to your request.

3. Credit the makers.
Mention their name anywhere. On your sig or profile... but make sure you credit them for taking the time out to make something for you.

While requests for fan art and fan fics can have their own individual threads, DO NOT post requests for icons/signatures in individual threads. Instead, post your request in one of the graphics shops that any one of our members has set up. They'll be more than happy to accommodate your request as long as you're following their rules. :)

While posting your requests, please make sure you're restricting them to the T Rating as per the forum rules.

But most of all, HAVE FUN! More than anything, this is a creative process and we all want you to ENJOY it!!!
